Explore the famous Blue Mountains National Park as we go on the hunt through waterfalls and bush tracks in search for the perfect composition.

Join Scott Stramyk in this small group workshop where Scott will provide you the opportunity to get hands-on with the M10 Haida Filter kits including neutral density, graduated and polarising filters to help you capture dramatic seascapes. Shooting in some of the best world heritage listed locations throughout the Blue Mountains.
It can be daunting finding your next composition with so many incredible walking tracks into the Australian bush. Scott will guide you through his thought process to shooting in this environment. Breaking down the tools for the job; lens selection, when to set up the tripod, composition techniques to achieve an inspiring image.

If you have been wanting to expand your knowledge on landscape photography, understand how to use landscape filters and get better and composing your landscape photos this is the workshop for you.

Topics covered:

  • Compositional techniques

  • What Landscape filters are and how do they work

  • How to use ND filters to enhance your waterfall images

  • How to read the scene and select shutter speeds for the desired effect for your photos

  • When you would use a polarising filter

  • Searching for macro opportunities

  • Macro techniques

Recommended equipment:

You will need a tripod, camera & wide angle and Macro lens to complete this workshop (contact Scott in advance to confirm what lens you will be using to confirm the filter kit will fit your lens).

Please bring your remote switch for Bulb exposures.

M10 HAIDA Filter Kit will be provided including: stepping rings, filter holder, 6 stop ND, 10 stop ND, 15 stop ND and Soft ND Grad.
